How To Scan A Digital Business Card?
Using your new Digital Business Card is a convenient and eco-friendly way to share your contact information with others. Here's how to use it:
1. Recipient's Perspective:
- Ask the recipient to open the camera app on their smartphone. Ensure they have a working internet connection.
- Hold your Apple Watch or Phone with the Digital Business Card visible on the screen in front of the recipient's camera.
- The camera should automatically scan the QR Code displayed on your Digital Business Card. When the camera recognizes the QR Code, it should display a pop-up link on the recipient's screen.
- In most cases, tapping the pop-up link will automatically open the link in a web browser.
(Note: Older phones or inoperable phones may not scan QR Codes. If this happens, tell the recipient to take a picture or manually enter your contact info in their phone.)
2. Accessing Your Contact Information:
- When the recipient taps on the link, it will open in their web browser. They'll be able to view your contact information and any additional details you've included on your Digital Business Card.
- The recipient will also have the option to save your contact information directly to their phone's contacts. When they initiate the save option, their browser will display a warning message, like the one pictured below, they should tap “Allow” to proceed with saving. The exact process may vary depending on their device and browser.
- When they tap “Allow” the next screen will show the Contact Card in the phones contacts, they just need to tap on “Done” to save your information.
